Atlanta Northcutt has been named the Standard’s employee of the month for February. She was hired in June as an advertising executive and quickly found her niche and moved to the newsroom as a writer and online commentator of “The Scoop,” a video segment announcing upcoming news articles. A music enthusiast, Northcutt, 27, is currently working on her first newspaper column “The Groove,” which will feature various topics including her passion for music, creative arts and cultural events.
