A woman who reportedly tried to sneak various meats and other items out of Dollar General was sentenced and ordered to stay out of the store. 

In Circuit Court last week, Wanda Joyce Drake was sentenced to 11 months, 29 days CPS and ordered to pay $75 plus court costs and $25.90 to Dollar General for a theft that occurred in January of 2020. According to the police report, Drake was observed by store cameras concealing items. When police officers arrived to the Dollar General, Drake reportedly backed around the corner and placed two packs of bacon in a baggy concealed in her coat. 

After speaking with Drake, she pulled her coat back and revealed she had three packs of hamburger concealed in her waist band. It was also revealed that Drake had three packs of tweezers and dish-washing liquid in her coat pocket. 

The total amount of the items Drake attempted to shoplift was $25.90. Drake was also sentenced to 11 months 29 days, to serve two days, have her driver’s license revoked for one year, pay $350 plus court costs and attend alcohol classes for DUI first offense.
