Help keep historic downtown beautiful. Roll up your sleeves and lend a hand during a cleanup effort to be held this month.
Main Street McMinnville Design Committee will hold its bi-annual cleanup of downtown next Saturday, Oct. 24, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Assistance will be needed for the Fall Downtown Cleanup effort.
“We invite the general public and city employees and elected officials to help us in this endeavor,” said Design Committee co-chair Amy-Jo Stanford.
Requested from the city of McMinnville is 12 rolling trash cans, large black garbage bags, tools (such as rakes, push brooms, etc.) and disposable gloves. Additionally, trash and debris removal after the event by McMinnville Public Works Department.
Volunteers are also asked to bring any tools, mask and gloves that they may need.
“We will supply garbage bags and bottles of water,” said Rachel Killebrew.
If Main Street McMinnville’s bi-annual effort is approved by city officials, volunteers will meet at the fountain in court square at 8 a.m. for instructions and assignments.
