Country music singer and songwriter David Lee Murphy has been announced as the Warren County A&L Fair’s featured entertainer.
Murphy is most known for his No. 1 hit single “Dust on the Bottle” and is known as one of country music’s best songwriters. He has written songs for artists like Kenny Chesney, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line, Eric Church, Keith Urban, Brad Paisley, Brooks and Dunn, Hank Williams Jr. and others.
Murphy has released five solo studio albums.
His debut platinum-selling album, “Out with a Bang” generated multiple hits including “Fish Ain’t Bitin,” “Just Once,” and “Party Crowd” which Radio and Records awarded the most played song on country radio in 1995.
Murphy more recently collaborated with Kenny Chesney in 2018 for the song “Everything’s Gonna Be Alright” which became a No. 1 single and the duet with Chesney won him his first CMA Award for Musical Event of the Year.
Murphy also released his album titled “No Zip Code” in 2018 that includes 11 songs written by himself and some of Nashville’s best songwriters.
The fair board is excited that Murphy will be bringing his country music hits to this year’s fair and encourages everyone to make plans to come to the fair this September.
Murphy will be performing some of his biggest hits at the fairgrounds during the free concert on Thursday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m. This year’s fair will run from Sept. 9-17.
