At the mention of fresh corn, most people become all ears and Chrissy Allen hopes everyone hears about Corn Day this Saturday.

Allen is the market manager at the Warren County Farmers Market and she wants to invite everyone to come enjoy some good, fresh corn.

“It’s Warren County corn. I believe we’re getting some from Morrison, some from Viola, and some from Irving College,” Allen said. “We’ll be boiling it on the cob.”

Allen estimates they’ll prepare between 20 and 30 dozen ears of corn and the first batch should be ready around 9 a.m.

“We’ll be fixing Peaches and Cream, Silver Queen, and Ambrosia,” said Allen. “We’ll have it until we run out.”

The Warren County Farmers Market is located at 100 Market Street in McMinnville and is open Wednesday and Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
