Monday, May 9 McMinnville Police Department will hold a Yellow Dot signup at Warren County Senior Center at 10:30 a.m. The program assists emergency personnel and first-responders in determining crucial medical information when the driver involved in a motor vehicle accident cannot convey information. The Senior Center is located at 809 Morrison Street.


Thursday, May 12 The Warren County Retired Teachers Association will hold its banquet on Thursday, May 12 to honor new retired teachers. Held at Centertown United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall at 5 p.m., the WCRTA scholarship winner and Retired Teacher of the Year will be announced. All retired teachers are invited and may bring one guest. Guest speaker will be Magness Library director Brad Walker. Meal prepared by ladies of the church. First National Bank of Middle Tennessee sponsored the event. Reservations should be made by Monday, May 9 by calling Kerry Mullican at 474-1770 or Jerry Hale at 607-6808.


Saturday, May 14 A Mother’s Day Tea will be offered at Magness Library at 11 a.m. The tea is a partnership with Daughters of American Revolution (DAR), which will be providing decorations and finger foods. A signup sheet is available in the Children’s Room of the library. Max capacity of 40 patrons. The library can be reached at 931-473-2428.


A Rabies Clinic will be offered at Sparta Road Veterinary Clinic on Saturday, May 14, from 9 a.m. to noon. $5 per shot Only 100 spots available. Pre-registration required. Contact Helping Animals of Warren County (HAWC) at 931-743-7666 for a registration application. The clinic is located at 4021 Sparta Highway.


A cruise-in in memory of Bobby Adams will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at McMinnville Cumberland Presbyterian Church at 115 Peers Street. Food and drinks available for purchase. Plates, utensils, cups and ice will be furnished. Dinner begins at noon. Iconic Metal Works is holding a Car Show on Saturday, May 21, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Live music, food, drinks and raffles with prices that include a riffle from Fog House Firearms, a Calf Killer Brewery basket and wine by Thin Blue Wine Cellars.

Generations annual 5K Color Run is Saturday, May 21 at 8 a.m. Location: back parking lot of Milner Recreation Center. Register at USA Gym or at www. runsignup.com ($2.45 online fee).
