THURSDAY, MAY 9
The Warren County Retired Teachers Association will hold its annual banquet to honor new retired teachers at Centertown United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall at 5 p.m. The WCRTA scholarship winner and Retired Teacher of the Year will be announced. Warren County District 3 County Commissioners Joseph Stotts and Richard Grissom will be holding a town hall meeting in the fellowship hall at Smartt Baptist at 6 p.m. Anyone from the community can attend to ask questions and/ or voice any concerns about the community or Warren County government. Light refreshments will be provided.
Calvary Baptist Church is meeting at the pavilion at 610 Myers Lane each Thursday night during the month of May. Special speakers and music include pastor Herschel Short on May 9, pastor Loyd Warren on May 16, pastor Tony Ayers on May 23 and Bro. David Carr on May 30.

There will be a hamburger supper at Centertown CIC at 5 p.m. The menu includes hamburger or hotdog plate, baked beans, potato salad or chips, dessert and beverage. The cost is $6 for adults and carry-outs are available.
The Generations 6th annual 5K Color Run is taking place and forms can be picked up at USA Gym or online. The cost is $25 which includes a T-shirt, bottled water and paint packets to throw during the end-of-run party. For more information, call 931-743-6628.

The 3rd annual Veterans Dinner and inaugural Mission 22 Ride will take place May 18 from noon to 2 p.m. for dinner and 2:30 p.m. for the Mission 22 Ride. The Wanamaker Reunion will be held May 18 at Shiloh Methodist Church with lunch at noon. Bring family, friends, pictures and plenty of food. Plates and cups will be provided. Ice will be furnished, but bring your own drinks.
The New Union Cemetery Association will meet May 19 at 2:30 p.m. at New Union United Methodist Church on Highway 30. The meeting will be held to elect new trustees and discuss cemetery business.

Noon Exchange Club of McMinnville and Botanico Inc. will present the community’s inaugural Memorial Day Healing Field at Caney Fork Electric Cooperative on Smithville Highway from May 25-27. The display will feature 132 American flags representing the 132 local military lives lost in war.
