The 2018 McMinnville Christmas Parade is dedicated to the aroma of the holidays.

Gingerbread Wonder-land is the theme for this year’s parade slated for Dec. 1 at 2:30 p.m. in Historic Downtown McMinnville.

“We are excited for our 2018 Christmas Parade with this theme,” said McMinnville Parks and Recreation director Scott McCord. “Registration has begun and we hope to have more entries then last year. We are so honored to have Dr. Wally Bigbee as our grand marshal. Dr. Bigbee has done so much for this city through all his countless hours of service. Hope to see everyone out celebrating the Christmas season.”

All entries must be decorated in accordance with the theme.

The deadline to enter is Nov. 13. Entries will be vying for cash prizes totaling $1,575. There will be eight categories including People’s Choice Award with a prize of $200.

No entry forms will be accepted after deadline or the day of the parade. Entry forms can be picked up and submitted at McMinnville Civic Center. For more information, call 473-1212.
