McMinnville Police Department will be holding a child safety seat checkpoint at Foodland Plus this Friday, April 6 from 1 to 3 p.m. All child seat safety inspections in the community are open to the public and done by individuals who are certified to check for proper installation. The service is optional, but motorists with child seats are urged to attend for the safety of their children. The program is about safety, not citations.
