Just in time for back to school, Central Church of Christ is holding a clothing giveaway this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. noon at the church’s benevolence annex.

Organizers report no clothing donations are needed as the Central facility is groaning to the hilt.

“During the COVID pandemic year, we continued receiving clothing donations but due to health safety restrictions we couldn’t keep our doors open for the weekly giveaways,” said church member Barbara Garretson. “So now we have literally thousands of good, usable clothing and footwear items for all ages, from infants to adults.”

The church will provide carryout bags for families stocking up on school and work clothes.

This Saturday’s special event is the only weekend offering currently planned. The normal clothing giveaway from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursdays has resumed as COVID infections continue to decline in Warren County.

Organizers have described this clothing giveaway as “gigantic” and urge anyone in need of quality clothing for children or adults to attend.
