Angela Bond is this month’s school system classified employee of the month. Bond is the special education census clerk and was nominated by special education director Dr. Candice Willmore. Bond is the main organizer for the inventory of the SPED department and is in charge of certain computer programs for the department. She’s been working at Warren County Schools for 28 years.
Willmore said in her letter of nomination, “She has been a tremendous asset to our department throughout the years. She is the go-to for all things related to special education.”
Willmore recognized her dedication saying Bond has worked in WCS since she was in high school.
“Over the past couple of years, Angela has been the key component of changing over our inventory to match the district’s new inventory process,” Willmore said. “Our department depends on Angela for so many things, and we do not thank her enough for the support she provides us.”
Bond said she was totally surprised and said, “It was touching that I was thought of.” She was told right before the School Board meeting on Thursday, April 22 where she was recognized by and presented the certificate by Dr. Willmore and Director of Schools Grant Swallows. “I’ve been blessed to work in this department,” she said. “I was in total shock.”
Bond appreciates the recognition and said her department makes her job easier by just being around them.
