Human skeletal remains were found this past week in a remote area of Rock Island, leaving lawmen trying to figure out whose bones they are. “We’ve sent the remains for analysis and hope to know something in a few weeks,” said District Attorney General Lisa Zavogiannis of the discovery that was made after authorities received a tip about the location of the remains. She would not elaborate on the source of the information that led them to the resting place but did confirm the bones that were discovered appear to be the remains of a human.
