The date for the second annual Blooms & Brews craft beer festival has been announced.
The event will once again be held at the Farmers Market in downtown McMinnville with the date Saturday, Sept. 28 from 5 to 9 p.m.
Blooms & Brews will focus on the same aspects as its inaugural year, bringing attention to and appreciation of the Upper Cumberland breweries. A wide variety of breweries, both local and non-local, will be in attendance.
This event is presented by Tree City Wine & Spirits and Depot Bottom Brewery. A portion of the proceeds will go to a local charity with four being chosen by the Blooms & Brews Committee. Those in attendance will be able to vote for which charity to receive the money.
“After the success of last year’s Blooms and Brews, we’ve really been brainstorming ways to make the 2019 event even better,” said event organizer and Tree City Wine & Spirits owner Keval Sheth. “We appreciate that the local craft beer scene is getting bigger, and we want this event to reflect that growth and activity.”
Popular food trucks will be on site and vendors will be serving up sample craft cocktails featuring spirits distilled in the region.
Blooms & Brews is 21 and up. No children or pets are permitted, and the ticket holder must have an ID on hand to present at the gate to be admitted.
General admission tickets are $45 plus tax and include admission, a souvenir tasting glass and unlimited tastings for the entirety of the event.
