A man has been sentenced to 28 years in prison for having sex with a 12-year-old girl.The man, Christopher Allen Biggs, 42, entered a guilty plea before Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to charges of rape of a child, aggravated sexual battery and aggravated statutory rape.Biggs is to serve the sentence at 100 percent with no chance for early release on parole, meaning he will be nearly 70 before he gets another chance at freedom. He must also list himself with the sex offender registry and undergo sex offender treatment.According to McMinnville police detective Marty Cantrell, the victim reported the sexual abuse to school officials, starting an investigation that eventually led to the arrest of Biggs. The information was conveyed to law enforcement and the girl was interviewed at the Children’s Advocacy Center – the headquarters where investigators and medical staff meet to make inquiries into alleged child physical, mental and sexual abuse.During her interview, the girl described the incident in which Biggs raped her.
