A second case has been settled in the murder of a Mt. Leo man who was shot to death in his own bed during a botched robbery attempt last year. The defendant, Nicholas D. McGee, now 21, the oldest of the six Coffee County youths accused in the murder of Oswaldo Luna, 43, joins Tyler Allen Jones, now 20, as the only two to reach plea agreements with prosecutors.McGee’s deal mirrors the one Jones took last month in that he was placed on probation for 10 years and released after serving about one year in jail. He entered a plea to the reduced charge of facilitation of aggravated robbery and has agreed to testify truthfully at trial against his co-defendants.McGee was among six Coffee County youths who went to Luna’s trailer in January 2016 in hopes of robbing him of marijuana.
