Sue Anderson will return as mayor of Morrison after running with no opposition.

This will be Anderson’s third term as mayor and she is eager to serve the community again.

“I am excited. I hope I can serve my community well. I truly care about Morrison and I want it to be a nice community where everyone wants to live,” said Anderson.

She is looking forward to watching the growth Morrison is seeing. Some of the additions include a new industrial building and new houses.

 “It is growing,” said Anderson.

Anderson is a lifelong resident of Morrison and has worked with the Morrison Ruritan for nearly 30 years. She is happy to be able to serve the people of Morrison again as mayor.

“Morrison has great people who are really good to work with. Lots of great people here,” she said.

Also returning is Morrison alderman Donald Miller. Miller ran unopposed this year. Jeannine Miller will be joining him as Morrison alderman as she also ran unopposed. Longtime Morrison Alderman Joe Hefner decided not to seek reelection.
