COVID cases continue to disrupt classroom learning.
This Thursday, all Warren County schools will go to remote instruction to give students extra time away from class before Christmas break. Remote learning will continue on the abbreviated day on Friday.
“Rates at many schools remain very low,” said Director of Schools Grant Swallows on Tuesday. “However, with a rapid increase in our community and among some of our employees it is necessary to make this change.”
Swallows said students will have assignments sent home Wednesday to complete on Thursday and return after the break. High school and WCMS students will not be required to log on during their class times on Thursday and Friday, but should complete any assignments given by their teacher for those days.
All teachers and staff will be working remotely and should be available by email to help. All buildings will be closed for cleaning and preparation for the two-week break.
Students are scheduled to return from Christmas break Jan. 5.
