If you love Christmas music, then Magness Library is the place to be this holiday season to hear beautiful voices lifted in song glorifying the Christmas season and the birth of Jesus Christ.Magness Library will be presenting its annual Musical Christmas Celebration on Monday, Dec. 19. Refreshments will provided at 6 p.m. and the music will start at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 and all proceeds will be divided equally to benefit the library and the Hamilton Street Activity Center, which offers homework assistance, afternoon snacks, supervised activities and organized play to school-age children who live at McMinnville Housing Authority.Steve Grove, of The Grove, will be providing refreshments, which will include a variety of delicious finger foods and punch.According to library director Brad Walker, the library will close at 4 p.m. Monday afternoon to allow time to prepare for the event. Seating is currently limited to 80 people so contact the library at 473-2428, or come by the facility during normal hours, to get your ticket or to check on ticket availability.A number of talented local performers will be appearing at the event, including Joe and Kevin Harvey, Griffin Winton and Lucy Haston, among others.The proceeds of the concert will be used to purchase books for the library and to fund food, games, crafts, trips and daily activities at Hamilton Street Activity Center.Be sure to get your tickets early for this entertaining and tuneful Christmas holiday event.
