A teen caught hiding in the woods after running from the law was granted a judicial diversion, her arrest coming after she first tried to claim she was driving the vehicle which led deputies on the chase.The woman, Sarah Margaret Lewis, 18, was granted a six-month diversion on the charge of resisting stop and will have her record erased after completing her probationary time. She has been released on time served and must undergo drug testing within the next month as part of her agreement.She was charged after deputies chased the vehicle in which she was a passenger on West Green Hill Road and onto Cherry Springs Road. The 1995 Chevrolet went off-road and ended up getting stuck in a field off Cherry Springs Road.“I was running through the field toward the vehicle on foot when all four doors opened and four subjects got out,” recalled sheriff’s deputy Billy Joe Crouch, noting all four passengers scattered.
