After suffering through two days of storms, the weather forecast calls for sunny skies and comfortable temperatures this weekend.It’s the perfect time to go fly a kite.The Standard’s 14th annual Kite Day celebration will take place this Saturday, April 30, at 10 a.m. in the large field behind Hickory Creek Elementary. The event is co-sponsored by Dr Pepper Bottling.Kite Day is a great family outing. Anyone can fly their kite, and three age divisions have been set for competition.
