During the summer, Junior Auxiliary of McMinnville members attended the National Association of Junior Auxiliaries (NAJA) annual Education Conference Awards and New Officer Installation Banquet in Memphis. The banquet concluded two days of education for conference attendees, networking with other chapters, and training for board members. The seven local members in attendance returned home with ideas for projects and resources for members, as well as a new chapter president in Cole Black and an award for public relations.JA of McMinnville members Ashley Wright and Stephanie Ward worked together to submit materials for two separate awards from the NAJA organization; one for public relations for a service project (Coats for the Community), and one for pubic relations for a finance project (Crown Jewels Art Gala). “We got a look at the other entries when we arrived at the conference,” said Ward, “We hoped for a win but were a little nervous going into the banquet because the chapters we were up against did such good work.
