A book signing regarding a significant chapter of 20th century America will be held at Hastings Bookstore in McMinnville this Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. The book is “A Memoir of Injustice” written by Jerry Ray and Tamara Carter, and published by Trine Day. Jerry Ray is the younger brother of James Earl Ray, the alleged assassin of Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. The assassination of MLK took place in Memphis on April 4, 1968, and Monday, April 4, 2011 marks the 43rd anniversary of the assassination.“I am convinced my brother James Earl Ray did not shoot Martin Luther King Jr., and this book tells why I believe James was not guilty,” said Jerry Ray. “This book is not one of those wordy, politically correct type of books that dances around the subject.
