Interact Club donates to community groups

The motto “Service Above Self” paid off Tuesday when Warren County Middle School’s Interact Club divided $1,500 in donations between six organizations.“This year’s club is the largest number of members we have ever had,” said Interact president Rylan Lorance. “We have a lot of hard-working individuals who want to help the community and the world and fulfill the club’s motto of service above self.”To raise the funds, members had a booth at Autumn Street Fair, helped Noon Rotary with breakfast, held an end-of-the-year dance at school, and received donations from Breakfast Rotary and Noon Rotary. Receiving Interact Club donations were Kids of the Community $250, American Red Cross $500, Romanian Orphanage through Breakfast Rotary $150, Nursing Home Christmas $150, Smile Train $250, and Share A Christmas Dinner $200.Share is offered by the Southern Standard.
