Last September, Herschel Wells Sr. became our Warren County Executive, succeeding John Pelham after eight years in the position. Herschel’s 12 years as a county commissioner for the 12th District have been invaluable in terms of allowing the executive leadership to flow/ continue without a period of “on-the-job training.” Herschel had been committee chairs of budget/ finance, the county jail oversight, etc., gathering valuable experience that has propelled the advance forward with no pause.
