Mountain TOP (Tennessee Outreach Project) is a nonprofit Christian service organization that does minor home repair.Projects include wheelchair ramps, porches, steps, sheds, painting, and yard work during the summer in seven counties: Bledsoe, Grundy, Marion, Sequatchie, Van Buren, Warren and White. The organization typically serves about 100 residents in Warren County each summer as volunteers work here for eight weeks straight.“We’re kind of like Habitat for Humanity in that we don’t think of this as a hand out, but a hand up,” said Mountain TOP service area manager Jay Koelbl. “We’re a partnership. We ask for any family we help to give back something, even if it’s not money.
