Indictments were handed down against a couple for allowing their dog to starve to death within feet of their apartment door.The couple, Brandon and Judith Kester, was indicted on felony charges of aggravated cruelty to animals. Prosecutors allege the dog was found dead in his doghouse by Animal Control and that a subsequent examination showed the pit bull was emaciated and weighed half of what it should have. Their defense maintains they took care of the dog and that it weighed less than average because it had just had puppies.In other indictments handed down by the Warren County grand jury this month:• Robert Hutchins and Luke D. Hill were indicted on charges of burglary, vandalism, grand theft, aggravated burglary and possession of stolen property.• Justin Marek was indicted on charges of possession of burglary tools, burglary, evading arrest, vandalism, resisting arrest, and fourth-offense driving on a suspended license.• Chris T. Young was indicted on the charge of domestic assault.• Jeffery Womack was indicted on charges of domestic assault, evading arrest, leaving the scene of an accident and unlawful possession of a firearm.• Caleb Dennis was indicted on the charge of prescription fraud.• David L. Caswell was indicted on charges of sale of drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.• Dusty Mooneyham was indicted on charges of possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia and public intoxication.• Dana Hastings was indicted on charges of possession of drugs and DUI.• John Elrod was indicted on charges of grand theft and possession of a legend drug.• Ciara J.
