Students should remember their pencils and notebooks, but most of them will be able to leave their lunch behind. With the new school year starting Thursday at 7:45 a.m., Warren County has been accepted into a program that provides free breakfast and lunch to all elementary and middle school students.“We’re excited about being able to offer free breakfast and free lunch,” said Director of Schools Bobby Cox. “Hopefully this program will go well and we’ll be able to expand it in the future to include high school students.”As part of the free breakfast and lunch program, Cox said it is important for parents to return a two-question survey. The survey asks for the student’s name and the range of household income.“I know some people are sensitive about this information and we’re not trying to be nosy,” said Cox.
