The old adages “Christmas is a time for giving” and “‘Tis better to give than to receive” are especially relevant for two Warren County residents. Paul Bomford and Krystal Tanner have made it a yearly goal to do something special for someone who shows up on their giving hearts radar. This year, the deserving individual who awakened their generosity is Esperanza Monzalvo, a 12-year-old Woodbury girl who is suffering from a brain tumor. Though the tumor is not cancerous, her mom Elsa still has to take her to Murfreesboro three times a week and Nashville once a week for treatment.Bomford and Tanner found out about Esperanza through the local Senior Center because she attends Barren Fork Baptist Church in Centertown, as does Senior Center director Cheryl Mingle’s daughter, along with other Senior Center members.
