First National Bank made a $4,200 donation to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to help in the fight against blood cancers such as leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma.The bank has participated in the organization’s Costumed for a Cure program since 1991 and has raised over $80,000 for LLS during that time. Employees dress up, sell mums and serve BBQ lunches to the community to fund raise.“We really enjoy lending a helping hand with this program,” said First National employee Helen Martin. “We got involved with The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society after our co-worker’s son was diagnosed.”First National Bank senior vice president Cindy Swann’s son, Travis, was diagnosed with leukemia in 1990 when he was 7 years old.
