Fire destroys Highland Road Home
John Willard was on the job doing roofing work Saturday morning when he received a call his home was on fire. The North Warren Fire Department was already en route but nothing could be done to save his trailer at 662 Highland Road.“I guess it must have been something electrical because it was older, but I don’t know for sure,” said Willard. The fire is classified as a complete loss, according to North Warren Fire Chief Matt Welcome.“Some of it is still standing, but it’s a complete loss,” said Welcome. “In that type of situation, our main concern is to keep the fire from spreading.”After receiving the call around 10 a.m., North Warren firefighters were on the scene minutes later because they were already at the fire hall.
