Fair worker expected to survive

The report is hopeful for the carnival employee who attempted suicide Friday morning in a parking lot of the Warren County A&L Fair.The woman, Kaje M. Svendsen, 33, of Indiana is said to be improving and is expected to recover from injuries sustained from a self-inflicted bullet wound to the head. She was airlifted from the scene to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga.Svendsen was found unresponsive and locked inside her vehicle which was parked in the carnival worker parking area at the fair. She was found around 9 a.m. Friday, six hours after she was last seen walking away from the midway.Investigators believe Svendsen traveled from Indiana to get a job with the carnival the night before.
