The British man who threatened to go on a shooting rampage at Warren County High School will serve 28 months in jail for making a Facebook post that kept nearly 3,000 local students at home. The South Shields man, Reece Elliott, 24, lowered his head and wept as he was issued the sentence Tuesday by Judge James Goss of the Queen’s Court.“During the first week of February this year, with what seems to be no more than self-indulgent nastiness, you posted a series of grossly offensive comments on Facebook,” Judge Goss declared during sentencing. The posts were insulting and demeaning. In addition to those insults, Elliott, posting under a false name, claimed he was going to shoot his father, take his guns and come to Warren County where he would shoot 200 students before killing himself.
