Warren County Middle School teacher Kevin Dunlap mounted a comeback Tuesday night to nip Robert Dunham for the 43rd District Tennessee House seat by 55 votes. The 43rd District includes all of White and Grundy counties, and roughly two-thirds of Warren County.White County and Grundy County election results were both in around 8:15 p.m. with Dunham ahead by over 1,300 votes. Warren County experienced its usual election night troubles with results not finalized till around 10 p.m. The delay left Dunlap supporters waiting in suspense to see if the Warren County resident would have enough votes to catch up. He did, just barely."I'm so thankful our kids can see that it pays to be positive and you don't have to run a bullying, mudslinging campaign to win an election," said Dunlap while surrounded by a crowd of supporters at Warren County Administrative Offices.
