A woman who crashed while driving impaired with four children in her vehicle will serve a month in jail.The woman, Dana Summers, 29, entered a guilty plea before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke to the charges of DUI with a child under 18 and reckless endangerment. The individual charges for each of the children in the vehicle were dismissed as part of Summers’ plea agreement which also included a $1,000 fine plus court costs, 24 hours of public service work, mandatory attendance of DUI class, and forfeiture of driving privileges for one year.Summers was charged when police arrived to investigate a wreck on Red Road near the Willow Way intersection. McMinnville policeman Corey Floyd said he spoke with Summers who admitted she was the driver of the 2002 Chevy Avalanche that was involved in the accident.“Ms. Summers was unsteady on her feet and had slurred speech,” Floyd wrote in his warrant charging drunk driving.
