Drunk parents to serve 48 hours

Parents who were passed out drunk when their children came home from school have been ordered to serve 48 hours in jail for their breakdown in parenting.The parents, Michael W. Brock, 33, and Jammie L. Brock, 36, were both directed to serve 48 hours of 11-month, 29-day sentences for child neglect. Mr. Brock was additionally given 30 days in jail for violation of probation. Their two children, ages 8 and 9, one of whom is autistic, were taken into protective custody and their cases are still under investigation by the Department of Children’s Services.The parents were found unresponsive inside their Pinecrest apartment by one of their children when he came home from school.“One of the children came to a neighbor’s home and stated that mom and dad were not responding and were passed out in the home,” said McMinnville police officer Katelyn Neal.
