Erika Roberts Standard was one of the local artists featured during last years Sip and Saveur on Main Street. The second annual event is scheduled for this Saturday from 5-9 p.m.

Downtown McMinnville will become the destination for art, food and merriment this Saturday, Sept. 26, from 5 to 9 p.m. The second annual Sip and Saveur: Tasting and Art Showcase will be offered by Junior Auxiliary.
“We received such a positive response after last year’s event, we’re looking forward to this year being even better,” said Junior Auxiliary member Emily Stefanick.
Sip & Saveur highlights local artists, local caterers, and the businesses on Main Street. It gives local residents the chance to sample wine and hors d’oeuvres while admiring the work of some of the area’s finest artisans.
“We have a number of artists returning, including Bill Heren, Linda Dunlap, and the highly anticipated Erika Roberts, who boasted a sold-out show at last year’s event,” said Stefanick. “Also slated to return will be Rachel McGee showcasing the work Warren County High School students. They will be stationed in the Community Room at the Chamber of Commerce.
There will be several newcomers this year, says Stefanick.
“Joining us for the first time will be Bill Stewart, Stephanie Fish, Brett Warren, Ramona Mathis and Peggy Adcock, among others. Ms. Adcock will be unveiling a never-before-seen collection of watercolor and acrylic paintings at the office of attorney Ryan J. Moore on Spring Street.”
Several local caterers will be featured in various Main Street businesses, including up-and-coming local caterer Amber Adams, who worked closely with Steve Grove, as well as Chuckle Monkey’s desserts and fine pastries, Keepsake Catering by Janice Kennamer, and Grade A Catering.
Among this year’s participating downtown businesses will be Park Theater and Magness Library. Both of those will house several artists.
Entertainment will be provided by The Lund McVey Group, a jazz quartet. The band features Jason McVey, a McMinnville native, Warren County music teacher, and saxophone player. Music will fill the streets from 5 to 9 p.m., and the band will be stationed on The Lot.
Registration begins at 4:45 p.m. by the fountain. Participants will receive their gift bag and be entered into a raffle for several prizes to be given away at 9 p.m. Advance tickets are $30 each and $40 at the event. Advance tickets can be purchased at Wink Skincare, Chamber of Commerce, or Security Federal Savings Bank on Main Street.
This is an adult-only event and all participants should be able to provide ID upon registration if requested.
