Motorists were revved about cruising The Strip and in donating to Meals on Wheels in the process.Organizers have released totals from Saturday’s second annual Back to The Strip fundraiser, which generated $20,500 in donations and over 3,000 pounds of food for Meals on Wheels. The food is expected to last over three months.“We more than doubled the amount of money we collected last year,” said organizer Mary Walker. “The amount of food we collected was about the same, but we raised quite a bit more money.”Walker said over $3,000 was raised from people who purchased VIP parking passes and from people who participated in the car show, both taking place in the Foodland Plus parking lot.
