McMinnville Police Department has been awarded the 2011 Tennessee Municipal League Achievement Award for Excellence in Police Services. “It was not by happenstance the department was given the award because the employees worked hard in concert for several years to accomplish great things,” said McMinnville Police Chief Charlie Sewell. “We are proud to be recognized for our efforts.”This is the second statewide award for the department in a year.
