The county’s Financial Management Committee has discussed a number of issues, including the design of the Financial Management Department’s new offices on Locust Street. At the meeting, Financial Management Department director Linda Hillis handed out a diagram showing how the offices would be laid out to accommodate the seven new employees required for the department. Hillis told commissioners the total cost for the cubicles, office furniture, wiring and lighting would come to $36,238, which will come out of the $75,000 appropriated to set up the department. Hillis pointed out this price did not include the computers and software needed to run the department.“Basically the two main offices in our current office will be subdivided into four offices each,” Hillis said.
