A local man has been arrested after he drove to Cookeville to meet a person he befriended on the Internet he thought was a young boy.The suspect, Ralph E. Crim, 55, is charged with solicitation of a minor for aggravated statutory rape and two counts of solicitation of a minor by electronic means. He is free on $15,000 bond awaiting his hearing in Putnam County.According to the Cookeville Police Department’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit, Crim unwittingly made contact with their undercover online agents on the Internet. He believed he was talking with a young teen boy.
