A child molester will serve a decade in prison after copping a plea to aggravated sexual battery charges.
The man, Kevin William Creek, entered a no-contest plea before Circuit Court Judge Bart Stanley to the charge of aggravated sexual battery. He was ordered to serve 10 years in prison at 100 per-cent, meaning he will not be allowed out of prison early on parole due to it being a sexual offense involving a child. He will also be required to list himself with Tennessee Sexual Offender Registry.
His crime involved a girl under the age of 10 who was visiting Warren County with her family. According to McMinnville police detective Todd Rowland, the one-time incident transpired after the man crawled into bed with the child. He then inappropriately touched her while he was in the bed with her.
The child came forward with allegations a short time after the crime happened. She was interviewed at the Children’s Advocacy Center before charges were brought against Creek.
