The battle against cancer took to the dance floor Saturday night as 10 couples displayed their talents during the inaugural Dancing with Our Stars.“For the first attempt, I would consider it being really successful,” said organizer Elaine Lawson of the event held at Bridgestone Learning Center. “We raised $6,000 for Relay for Life and I think that is a record for a one-day fundraiser.”The event saw 10 teams compete on the dance floor, dancing mostly to country music. About 175 in attendance cheered on the dancers, many competitors warning they had not ventured onto the dance floor for many years. In the end, the team of Ryan Moore and Terrie Kirby won the Most Money Raised Award.
