A couple has been charged with a string of local residential burglaries after one of them was pulled over with evidence in his car.The two, David James Galaz, 37, of McMinnville and Kelly Lynn Steele, 35, of Watertown, both face multiple felony counts for at least three separate break-ins that occurred in Warren County. Galaz had his cases bound to the grand jury, while Steele will face hearing before General Sessions Judge Bill Locke on Oct. 13. Galaz is reportedly trying to take responsibility for the burglaries by telling lawmen his girlfriend had nothing to do with them.The first of the three burglaries for which they are charged happened Sept. 18 at a house on McGowan Road in Morrison.
