Members of three county committees have agreed to fund security projects to help make schools safer.Included in the funding up to $45,000 will be security systems for each school comprised of magnetic card readers, code systems, cameras and monitors. The proposal has passed the Budget and Finance Committee, Education Committee, and Financial Management Committee.Education Committee chairman Terry Bell said, “We are committed to doing everything we can to make the kids safe. This is the first thing they said we can do to make our schools safer.“The way I understand it, this will fix two entrances at every school.
