Aside from tackling the complicated issue of building codes and permits, commissioners addressed a number of smaller items on the docket in Monday night’s Warren County Commission meeting.A resolution to express support for “maintaining funding levels of the Upper Cumberland Human Resource Agency rural transportation program” was passed unanimously. This resolution will be forwarded to state Sen. Janice Bowling, and state Reps. Kevin Dunlap and Judd Matheny.Commissioner Ron Lee was appointed to the Airport Board of Zoning Appeals, replacing former commissioner and board member George Smartt.The budget amendment to cover the hiring of six new SROs for the school system was approved, as was a budget amendment to purchase a new vehicle for Animal Control.Departmental reports were received from the Finance Department, Agriculture, Airport, Codes/Environmental, EMA, EMS, and the Industrial Development Board.
