Dolly was singing “9 to 5” and was even joined by Kenny Rogers for a duet of “Islands in the Stream” Saturday night in Viola.The two “singers” were part of the On the Road Again Show that capped two days of crowd-packed festivities at Viola Valley Homecoming.“We are so happy to be back here in Viola,” said Kevin Deason. “I’ve seen plenty of tractors, but if you want to impress me, mow the city.Deason played “Bubba” and was the announcer during Saturday’s On the Road Again Show.Taking the stage first in the lineup was Gary Roberts with “On the Road Again” sung by Willie Nelson, Tom Thaxton with “She Believes in Me” sung by Kenny Rogers, and Angela Ely with “9 to 5” sung by Dolly Parton. Thaxton and Ely then joined together for “Islands in the Stream.”Deason spent the evening entertaining the crowd with comedy during small breaks between acts.
