Students and parents sorting through the maze of the financial aid jungle will find guides offering free assistance during College Goal Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. Jan. 29 at Tennessee Technology Center at McMinnville.Financial aid staff from TTC McMinnville and the Motlow State Community College McMinnville branch will help students complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form and talk about financial aid resources and how to apply. Higher education prospects should bring:• 2011 federal tax return or other income documentation• Social Security number• Driver’s license (if any)• 2011 W-2 forms or year-end pay stubs and other year-end records of money received• 2011 untaxed income records such as Social Security, Temporary Assistance to Needy Families, welfare, or veteran benefits records• 2011 bank statements• 2011 business and investment mortgage information, business and farm records, stock, bond, and other investment records• Alien registration card (if not a U.S. citizen).TTC McMinnville will allow students access to the school’s personal computers. “We advise students and their parents to bring their PINs (personal identification numbers),” said Mike Garrison, TTC McMinnville coordinator of student services.
