Photography classes will be offered at McMinnville Civic Center. Registration is now being accepted for both a beginner and intermediate class. The classes are six weeks long and begin July 15.
“This is a wonderful class,” said McMinnville Parks and Recreation Department program coordinator Kendra Foust. “Both classes are taught by local veteran photographer Bruce Atnip. He is very knowledgeable and has years of experience in photography.”
Beginners Photography is a six-week course designed to teach the fundamentals of photography, as well as how to properly use your camera. This class will be held at the Civic Center on Tuesday evenings at 6:30 p.m. beginning July 15. The cost for Beginners Photography is $50.
Photography Part 2 is a six-week intermediate photography class designed for those who have already taken the beginners photography course and are comfortable using their camera. Participants will learn in detail how to capture a good photo and will actively take photos as part of the class. This class will be held at the Civic Center on Tuesday evenings at 5 p.m. beginning July 15. The cost for Photography Part 2 is $40.
Please note, depending on registration numbers, the class start dates may be moved back one week to accommodate for more registrations. In that situation, the class will begin July 22. Individuals already signed up for a class will be notified as soon as a decision is made.
Individuals interested in taking one of the photography classes may stop by McMinnville Civic Center at 500 Garfield Street anytime during normal business hours to fill out a registration form and pay the class fee.
