A splash of change has taken place at Gilley Pool, which could interfere with divers making a big one and parents who want to drop off their children for the day.Due to safety concerns, the three-meter high dive has been removed and children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult, says McMinnville Parks and Recreation director Scott McCord. McCord says the three-meter board took a dive due to safety concerns.“You just don’t see diving boards at public pools anymore,” said McCord. “When I became director, I was shocked the city had three diving boards, including a three-meter diving board.”He asked Wellness and Aquatics manager Justin Scott to look into the safety issues.
