Progress is slowly moving forward in the city’s effort to provide a new walking trail beside the Barren Fork River connecting Sallys Alley to Rocket Park. A meeting of all interested parties will be arranged to help push along the process.McMinnville Mayor Jimmy Haley informed Parks and Recreation Committee members Tuesday night that property owners Barry Barnes and Paul Michael Barnes still have concerns about giving the city an easement onto their property for a public trail. “They said they would feel more comfortable if the city leased the whole property, rather than just one section of it,” said Haley.The property owned by the Barnes family lies between property owned by the city at Sallys Alley to Rocket Park.
